Mission
The mission of Anson County Communications Center is to provide citizens or visitors with the highest quality of service possible 24 hours a day. We are the vital link between citizens, visitors, and the agencies we serve. Through our actions we help save lives, protect property and assist citizens during their time of need. We are committed to working diligently at being responsible, courteous, compassionate, and professional to perform to the best of our ability at all times with every call that we take.
About the Communications Center
The Communications Center is Anson County's only Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). It provides 24-hour telecommunications operations for receiving and dispatching requests from the public and other agencies, for county and municipal fire services, emergency medical services, and law enforcement responses. It also has the ability to communicate with non-emergency responders in both county and municipal departments. It serves as the County warning point and receives all severe weather watches, warnings and other emergency communications for dissemination to appropriate officials and departments. It is co-located with the Anson County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and provides communications support when the EOC is activated.
